Wildlife break

We had been to Melbourne for a few days. The landscape+wildlife was unbelievable (quite contrary to my expectations) and we got to see most of the birds and animals in their natural habitats. We hope to start a travel blog with pics as we realise we have forgotten many of the sights and places we have seen:( Anyways, I monopolized the trip with sketching - mostly several gorgeous birds and ofcourse hundreds of kangaroos that kept hopping across on the roads during the day and (dangerously) at night. I got nipped (very painful:)) by nasty cockatoos whom I refused to give attention to in favour of the lovely rosellas and kookaburras.

Eucalyptus Patch @ the National Rhododendron Gardens @ Dandenongs and making the sketch below

Crimson Rosellas on the peeling bark of Eucalyptus trees

Rosellas and lorikeets

Sulphur Crested Cockatoos and Crimson rosellas

Sulphur crested cockatoos - up, close and personal (ouch!)

Rainbow lorikeets - Long Billed Corellas - Rainbow Lorikeets again

I love your paintings, sketches and the various mediums you use. Wish I could learn to draw / paint like you
