Noisy starlings

Asian Glossy Starlings on the Americal Oil Palm
Acrylic on Canvas 24"x30"

On a couple of walks to the botanical gardens, I noticed a large flock of small, glossy and very noisy birds resting on some of the giant palms. The fact that the palm fronds are cut periodically have not deterred them from nesting here in large numbers. Occasional trespassing by Mynas are interesting to watch:) Apparently they are among the top of the common birds found here.
The final composition is a portion of the sketch above - laterally inverted on the PC. The palm fruits were incorporated into the composition.

OMG! You have done it again. I zoomed in on the palm fruit area and the depth/detail is just amazing!!! It would be wonderful to see a video of your painting process...:))
