'Pitcher Perfect'
Oil on Canvas Panel
14"x18"
This painting of mine got selected into the finals of this year's contest that had a separate International Artists Category for entries outside of the UK which received over 500 paintings from across the globe. I am disappointed to not have won a prize in the final category BUT I must admit I totally enjoyed painting this one and it will be one of my favourites:) (I entered mine in the Category 'Wonder of Plants')

congrats sree..!!! :D
U got selected as a finalist across the globe...Feel great and happy and i loved the painting..toooooo gud.. :)
Fantastic painting!!! Frankly, it looks like a photograph, given all the details and textures you have captured. The leaves at the bottom right are shiny just like the real thing. It's one thing to paint the main pitcher plant but to paint it exactly as it would be found in a natural setting with other grasses/plants takes a very talented artist with great eye for detail! I could go on and on but you truly are fantastic :)
It is a spectacular painting! Love the greens, omg! awesome job, congrats.
what are you made of?? you genuis genuis artist!! damn, one of the finest in the country for sure .. please keep trying and competing..I'm serious. You will shine..YOU WILL. You have that potential.
Can you take a video of one of your paintings in progress and put it on youtube or something/ I would like to see the brush strokes/techniques/color combinations/mixings that you do. If you don't mind?? pretty please :)
Thanks and best wishes!

Sree this is the most beautiful painting! wow .. I would have definitely put it at the very top. I have always wanted to paint pitcher plants and I don't think I could do a better job at all. Don't worry about not getting picked.. competitions are just luck really! This is very beautiful and you should be very proud.. I certainly would be!
