Mango Manthram at Mahanandi

These are my entries for the Food Art ~ Mango Manthram, Indira's beautiful idea for a food-art rendezvous.
I've no confidence when it comes to watercolors, but i couldnt think of a better medium to bring out the luscious shades of semi ripe mangoes:)..hence the attempt.
The second is a typical Indian motif often seen on fabric. Its done using Indian ink which is almost like transcluscent watercolors.

This is strange - I cannot see the images. I can only see the text. Is there a delay between you posting an entry and the image showing up?

You are brilliantly talented Dear Sree...It was a pleasure to go through all your sketches...I loved the hydrangeas and the grapes tutorial...after the mandatory art classes in school and the spurts of interest in painting, i have been so far away from art and seeing your blog makes me feel like starting all over again!
Would love to see all your work for real some day :)
Keep going at the wonderful stuff!

Hi Sree,
I have been a regular visitor here but never posted any comment. I also cannot see the picture posted on this page. I am a watercolor enthusiast but a beginnner watercolorist. I guess it takes time to master this medium. Though I have used other mediums I always seems to gravitate towards watercolor. Good work!
